Non-Profit Donations and Assistance
Hawaii Self Storage partners with many local charities and non-profit organizations by donating our services, resources, and organizing special events to raise funds and help support their causes.
Rent 2 Charity is a program Hawaii Self Storage created to encourage our customers to give back and support their favorite charities and non-profit organizations. New customers have the option of writing their first month's rent to their favorite church, charity, or local non-profit organization. With hundreds of new customers each month and locker rentals ranging up to $1,250 this program has the potential to make a significant impact in our community.
T.A.P. (Transition Assistance Program)
In addition, Hawaii Self Storage's T.A.P. (Transition Assistance Program) provides temporary storage to individuals who are experiencing financial hardship due to a recent job loss, home loss, divorce, or death in the family. This program was created to help Hawaii residents through their transition as they readjust their living situation. T.A.P. will provide a minimum of 4 Months FREE storage to qualified families. After the 4th month there will be no further obligations and extensions may be granted on a case by case basis.
In order to qualify for the T.A.P. program applicants need to submit the following information:
- Letter Request - To verify economic hardship, ex. job termination letter, eviction, foreclosure notice, health status etc.
- Documentation - Stating situation, need, and transition plan to overcome economic setback. Must include all contact information.
